Join the discussionThis is a great recipe I use basil instead of cilantro. I have make it many times
Thank you! So glad you like it!
Do you add in the parmesan cheese or just use as a garnish?
Use it as a topping 🙂
So, the 1 cup Parmesan cheese doesn’t go in the food processor for the sauce?
Yes, the parmesan cheese goes in the food processor for the sauce. Enjoy!
We loved this ! I also used basil and served it with the cheese and some extra cashews on top for crunch. Served it with a tossed salad. I didnt think this would be enough food when I divided it but it was very filling and plenty enough. Great recipe !
Yum, great additions Leslie! Glad this made enough food to feed your family!
What can i use in place of parmesan? (Plant based)
You could sub nutritional yeast – start by adding a Tablespoon at a time to get the desired consistency and taste.
