Join the discussionAt the supermarket, there’s chuck roast, london roast, etc. Could you clarify what cut of meat is used for this recipe?
You can use your preferred type of roast, but round and chuck tend to be popular ones. We hope this helps!
Can this be frozen after it has been cooked? I am going to fix freezer meals for my father, since his wife died recently. I wanted him to be able to thaw the meals out and then reheat and eat. Can you tell me the best way to be able to do it. I really would appreciate your feedback on this matter and thank you for your time and consideration.
Thank You
Sharon
Hi Sharon, this recipe is a dump and go, which means it doesn’t require any cooking the day you prep it for your freezer, but it does require you to cook it on the day you serve the meal. I think what you may be looking for are Ready to Eat meals, meals that you simply take out of the freezer, thaw/reheat. We call these Ready to Eat Meals — you can see our Ready to Eat Meals here https://onceamonthmeals.com/recipes/?serving_day=Easy+Assembly%2FReady+to+Eat — we have a few that are unlocked for the public, but most of our recipes are for members. The icon on the top right (lock) will tell you if you can’t access it. I hope this helps.
Do we drain the tomatoes or dump them in straight from the can? Thanks!
Hi Brie! The tomatoes in this recipe aren’t drained.
