Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups soften Butter
  • 1/2 cups Applesauce
  • 1 individual Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 cups juice Grapefruit
  • 1 tablespoon zest Grapefruit
  • 2 cups Rolled Oats, Quick Cooking
  • 1 cup Flour, All-Purpose
  • 1 cup Flour, Whole Wheat
  • 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 cups Raisins
  • 1/3 cups Sugar

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and applesauce together.
  2. Add in eggs, vanilla, grapefruit juice and grapefruit zest.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, baking soda and salt.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir well to combine.
  5. Fold in raisins.
  6. Shape into rounded Tablespoon size balls, and roll into sugar.
  7. Place on greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
