  1. This is a GREAT idea! My 2yo will drink anything in smoothie form! I usually make smoothies using the fruit + veggie pouches you can buy from some of the organic brands, but this would be a great cost cutter!

  2. Thanks for this. My daughter also used to be a wonderful eater. In the last few months I can hardly get anything down her. She seems to really enjoy smoothies. I love that this is full off veggies.

  3. Well my son’s new favorite word is yuck- so I know the feeling. He does however like smoothies and it never crossed my mind to freeze smoothies! Sometime I just don’t feel like chop chop chopping in the morning. My only question is about the smoothie containers – where can I find them and are they ready for drinking straight out of the container?
thanks for the many great ideas and recipes

    1. Any containers or bags will work. Typically we freeze in pint or quart freezer bags, thaw and eat. You could freeze in 8 oz containers as well.

  4. You can put just about any fruit in as long as you include something strong tasting (like oranges) to mask the spinach. We make these frequently with whatever fruit we have lying around and my kids love them! My 3-year-old calls them “monster smoovies”. :o)

  5. For Dairy free and good energy, you can make smoothies with coconut water instead of yogurt too. My daughter drinks them every morning.

  6. I like to make smoothie bags with all the fruit and veggies ahead of time, freeze, and then blend with yogurt, water/juice in serving day. It tastes fresher, and I think it retains more vitamins. I also add hemp protein powder for a long lasting fuel. My kids don’t seem to mind as long as there is enough fruit!
