Join the discussionThat’s such a great idea for using up leftover ham at Christmas time. Here in Australia, we all nearly have a ham for Christmas and we get so sick of ham after a while. Using it up in a pizza roll would just be perfect. I’ll be adding this to my favourite recipes for sure! Thanks!
I think it’s more than it’s hard to buy a small ham or turkey if you want the full, on-the-bone flavor.
Great recipe for leftover ham!
Made this for dinner tonight with left over Christmas ham and it was amazing. Great blend of flavors. Definitely a family favorite. Thanks
Glad to hear that. I hope that ham had been in the freezer. π
I love your blog! I use so many of your recipes, cant wait to try this one! Thank you!
Made this for dinner and it is currently baking in the oven. It was sooooooo easy to make I hope it tastes good!
And the verdict?
YUM! Had a little leakage because my seam was on the bottom, so i think I’ll follow your picture directions more closely next time and bake it with the seam up.I made two minor changes, I brushed the top of the roll with a little olive oil and then once it was baked I threw some leftov grated cheese on top and broiled it for about a min until it was golden brown and bubbly.
Mmm, I like your additions!
Is this recipe meant to be used with cooked or uncooked ham?
Cooked ham.
Yum!! I just made this last night and my husband (who HATES ranch dressing) gobbled it up and said he loved it. I’m totally going to make a few to throw in the freezer, so easy. Thanks for the site, I can’t imagine the work that goes into it all!
Thank you for reporting back. So glad even your husband liked it. And as for the work, you have NO idea! π But we love it.
Totally adding this to my menu!
Can you use the pizza dough recipe here on OAMM?
Yes.
Made this for dinner last night and an extra for the freezer (DH is deploying right before baby #2 is due in a couple weeks so I’m stocking up!)and omgoodness it was delicious! Even with the seam on top I had it open a little, but it actually looked more appetizing that way. Will make again (& again!)
Yay! So glad to hear! It is such a great one to have on hand or to make when you need to use up deli meat.
I tried to pin this three times but pinterest blocked it each time with a message, stating that they were sorry but they blocked this because “it might be spam or other inappropriate material.” Just thought you wanted to know that so that you can contact pinterest! It looks yummy and I’ll come back later and try to pin it again! π
Sorry, Pinterest had us in time out yesterday. It should be fixed and pinnable today.
I never have too much leftover meat! I have too many leftover ideas and favorites. Now I have another! π
Made this tonight and LOVE it! Such a great idea! I used a whole wheat pizza dough from Trader Joes and rolled it out into a rectangle. I can’t wait to try this with other filling ideas. Maybe Buffalo Chicken. Will definitely be freezing one too!
Is this made with cooked or uncooked broccoli?
Uncooked broccoli
This was a big hit from the 3 year old to the 71 year old and everyone in between! I used thawed frozen bread dough and it turned out perfectly. Everyone wants this on the repeat list.
So glad to hear that, Kara!!
Just to make sure, when freezing the meal, on the day you want to serve it, do you just pop it into the oven frozen? Thanks
Hi Michelle! Once you choose this recipe to be part of your menu, you can then click on the Thaw Sheet resource. This will always tell you if a recipe should be thawed first or can be cooked from frozen. This recipe is suggested to first be thawed in the fridge before cooking. Enjoy!
We haven’t had success with this unless we thaw it before cooking it.
Heather, this recipe should actually be thawed before baking it. As a member, those thaw instructions should appear on your recipe documentation and your labels. We are working to get that information sent to the website too.
When I cut the end and tasted it, it was really good. However when I cut INTO it the rolled up crust on the inside was not cooked at all. Maybe I stuffed it too much, placed it into a casserole dish instead of a cookie sheet. Who knows! But I’m trying to salvage it now.
Sorry to hear this! Hope you’re able to salvage!
This is less like pizza, and more like a giant Hot Pocket. SUPER good nonetheless.
To freeze- Is the broccoli supposed to be cooked or raw because it doesnβt say.
You’ll use raw broccoli. π
