Join the discussionMy kids love chocolate muffins & I have been searching for a healthy one to make. Thanks so much. I love your website.
Oh my goodness…I would have no willpower with these, especially knowing that they are “healthy.” ha! Thanks!
Can you give a brand name for “oat bran cereal”? Do you mean something like Fiber One?
Yes, I used Fiber One. 🙂
Definitely will do these again! My husband even liked them for dessert!
These were *awesome*!
Spreadsheet mentions OIL in instructions not applesauce.
We will change that right now!
Hi. I love your site and concept! I am calorie conscious but also carb and sugar conscious for health reasons. Do you think eventually you are going to update your nutritional information to include these? They are usually provided when you do a calculation through Spark Recipes. So many times I find great recipes but hate doing the work of calculating the nutritional info so if you did make this upgrade it would be a huge help!
Melisa yes we hope to add that in the very near future for all of our recipes! But we do offer it now on our diet menu.
Could I substitute the cereal for oat bran?
Thanks so much, LOVE your site!
Yes you definitely could.
I have had this recipe for awhile now & keep meaning to make them, they look delicious! But I keep forgetting to ask you about the oat bran cereal, Did you mean something like’Cracklin Oat Bran’ cereal(little squares with too much sugar), or something like ‘Fiber One Bran cereal’ that isn’t called ‘oat bran’ cereal? I want to make these for my teenage son who’s doing intense physical training before & after school right now, this would be a great breakfast or snack for him. Thanks!
Judy – Fiber One is what we used in the recipe.
