Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Use your hands to rip pressed tofu into large uneven chunks. Divide among the indicated number of gallon freezer bags.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey #1, teriyaki sauce #1, soy sauce #1, garlic and black pepper. Pour over tofu. Gently mix tofu and marinade to evenly coat tofu.
  3. Using the same small bowl, whisk together honey #2, teriyaki sauce #2 and soy sauce #2. Divide among the indicated number of quart freezer bags.
  4. Seal, label and freeze together.

Make From Frozen Serving Day Directions

These directions help you cook or reheat this meal AFTER it's been frozen for when you are ready to eat it.

  1. Thaw: In fridge
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium high heat. Add tofu and cook for 2 minutes, until sauce begins to boil.
  3. Cook for 8 more minutes, stirring occasionally, making sure to allow the tofu to brown.
  4. Once sauce has reduced, add the sauce mixture. Stir for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and stir in sesame seeds.
  5. Serve the tofu over the rice and with the broccoli.
