Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. **Due to the nature of pressure cooking there is always room for inconsistency. The times given here are based on 4 servings fresh. If you are using more servings you may need to increase your cooking time.**
  2. In a bowl, mix together everything except pork.
  3. Put ribs and the sauce into gallon bag, mixing the ribs around until they are coated with sauce.
  4. Put bag in the refrigerator to marinate for at least an hour up to overnight.
  5. Add water #1 to Instant Pot, then add ribs and pour sauce on top.
  6. Lock lid into place and seal steam nozzle.
  7. Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  8. Naturally release pressure for 5 minutes then release any remaining pressure.
  9. Remove the ribs to a plate and change setting to saute.
  10. Whisk cornstarch and water #2 in a small bowl until well-combined.
  11. Stir into Instant Pot and let thicken.
  12. Add ribs and let sit for a few minutes.
  13. If you prefer crispy ribs, broil in the oven for a few minutes.

  1. This meal seems undersized. 1 lb of boneless pork ribs left me and my husband to fight over 6 ribs. I know they are boneless, but this wasn’t satisfying at all. Our menu was sized for 2 servings, so it recommended 1 lb of meat split twice. 1/2 lb per meal sounds reasonable. When I went to freeze it, I thought there was no way I was going to bother making this if there were only 3 ribs in a meal, so I combined it and made it as a single meal. I can’t imagine if I had to split 6 ribs 4 ways.

    1. We had our MenuBuilder team double check this recipe and measurements, everything is correct. Our amounts are also consistent other recipes online with country style ribs. Is it possible you purchased boneless spare ribs which wouldn’t be as meaty? If you decide to make again, you know your family best and whether or not you should increase the servings on this recipe. Thank you for your feedback!

  2. 1 pound of boneless pork ribs for 2 persons is very adequate if you are interested in healthy eating instead of huge portions served in most restaurants.
