Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. **Due to the nature of pressure cooking there is always room for inconsistency. The times given here are based on 4 servings fresh. If you are using more servings you may need to increase your cooking time.**
  2. Place all the ingredients except the butter and flour in the Instant Pot.
  3. Lock the lid in place and seal the steam nozzle.
  4. Cook on high pressure for 35 minutes.
  5. Naturally release pressure for 5 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
  6. While pressure is releasing, melt butter in a saucepan.
  7. Whisk flour into butter to create a paste.
  8. Remove 1 cup of broth from the stew and whisk into the flour mixture. Allow to thicken.
  9. Switch the Instant Pot to saute. Stir the thickened broth back into the stew.
  10. Allow to simmer for additional 10 minutes or until thickened.
