Make It Now Cooking Directions
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- **Due to the nature of pressure cooking there is always room for inconsistency. The times given here are based on 4 servings fresh. If you are using more servings you may need to increase your cooking time.**
- Place chicken in a bowl. Add remaining ingredients on top of chicken.
- If time allows, let marinate in the refrigerator for an hour.
- Place contents in Instant Pot, lock lid into place and seal steam nozzle.
- Cook on high pressure for 9 minutes.
- Release pressure naturally for 10 minutes then release remaining pressure.

Join the discussionWhere did the grill marks come from?
Hi Terri,
This image was used from our grilled version.
If you want to make this version, you can choose to place the chicken on a grill after cooking to give it sear marks and add additional flavor, if you like. However, you are correct: cooking this in your instant pot alone will not give you the same visual result. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clear this up.
Can you throw vegetables or potatoes in with this!?
Hi Al, I don’t see why you can’t add vegetables or potatoes to this! You may just want to see how long the vegetables you want to cook take and then either add them later or sooner than the indicated cook time so they don’t end up too mushy for you.
I added potatoes and carrots it turned out great whole meal in one pot loved it.
