  1. Some of these measurements are not in units you would usually buy the ingredients in. For example, bacon is typically sold by a strip, not by volume, so I have to guesstimate how many strips will make up 1.5 cups when diced. Similarly ,ground beef is sold by weight… seems like 3 cups will be about 1.5 pounds.

    1. Aaron, the ingredients are listed this way to show how much of each item is needed to prepare the recipe. So yes, you would need to do those conversions yourself.

Paying Once A Month Meals members, however, get a grocery shopping list with all of the ingredients broken down by how they are purchased. For example: Bacon is listed on the grocery shopping list in pounds as that is how you purchase it from the meat counter. The pounds are then converted to cups on the prep sheet to help you prepare the bacon properly. Then lastly, the bacon is listed in cups on the recipe card to know how much of what you purchased, then prepped, needs to go in that specific recipe.

Does that help clarify? We greatly appreciate your feedback and comments! Let us know if you have any further questions!
