Join the discussionWhat is lime juice #1 and lime juice #2?
That is a reference to when they are added in the recipe directions, not a type of lime juice.
Your Cilantro Lime Rice sounds great! How do you think it would work with brown rice?
I think it would be great with brown rice!
Could you use a rice cooker for the rice? If so you would add all of the same ingredients before starting?
Yes, I think you could use a rice cooker for the rice. Add the ingredients that are listed for cooking but leave out the sugar and cilantro as directed in the original recipe until the end. Let me know how it turns out!
I tried cooking this rice on the stovetop & burnt it. Then i tried in my rice cooker & almost burnt it as well. I was not having very good luck. But i salvaged it & it was great. I think leftovers tasted better then the day of. I really need a new rice cooker. Thanks for a great recipe! I am really enjoying my dinners from here.
This recipe was amazing! I loved it!
I made this for my family last night including my 2 year old (minus the jalepenos), and they said it was the best pork chop they had ever had!! The rice was a nice compliment to the pork chop, and everyone was happy for sure – I will definitely be making this again.
So glad to hear you enjoyed. I make the rice every few weeks- I still can’t get enough of it!
Where is the cliantro lme rice part of the recipe?
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It was an add on that has since been removed. I have passed this along to our MenuBuilder team for updating.
Can this be cooked in a slow cooker?
You could definitely try it! I’d omit the oil and cook it on low for 6-8 hours.
Are we going to get the cilantro lime rice again?
Hi Meagan! Here is an Instant Pot Cilantro Lime Rice as well as a non-Instant Pot version.
