Why would I want to freeze this?
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet. Cook the kielbasa, onion and garlic until the sausage begins to brown. Set aside.
- Whisk together the milk, egg, black pepper and salt. Set aside.
- Place the peas in a colander and drain the boiling pasta water over the peas.
- Return the pasta to the pot over medium-low heat along with peas. Pour in the milk mixture and cook for 2-3 minutes or until it begins to thicken.
- Slowly add the shredded cheese, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the kielbasa mixture.
- Allow to cool.
- Divide among the indicated number of freezer bags. Label and freeze.
