Join the discussionIs there anyway to do this with a microwave? Like would the pizza hold up premade in the freezer then nuked in the microwave at work after thawed… just wondered cause thia would be a good lunch!
Lynette, if it was me, I’d freeze as directed and bake the night before. Then you could wrap in plastic wrap and reheat in the microwave at lunch the next day. You could try to bake it before freezing but I think the crust would be a little soggy after reheating. If you try either way, let me know how it works out!
I will this is definitely going to be made within the next month!
Hello-I am really interested in many of your recipes but I am a bit confused as to the freezing directions. Are freezing directions for after cooking? Or before? Also- some of the directions for freezing and putting in bags are confusing. For example, you say divide cheese and pepperoni into 4 sandwich bags. Does this mean you mix the cheese and pepperoni together than separate or divide cheese into 4 bags, and divide pepperoni into 4 bags? I can’t wait to try your recipes, especially after I understand the way you type your instructions are typed 🙂 Once I get the hang of it I hope I can eventually cook only once a month!! Thanks!!
Hi Amanda, it depends on which recipe whether our freezing directions are for before cooking or after. It’s usually more clear than it is in this post- sorry about that. For this recipe, you do not cook the pizza first. You put the crust into gallon bags. You can then put the cheese and pepperoni into sandwiches bags- one bag per crust if that makes sense. It won’t hurt to freeze the cheese and the pepperoni together. Hopefully that helps but feel free to ask more questions if not!
If I use the homemade pizza dough recipe listed above, would I cook to the directions on the pizza dough recipe or on this recipe?
I would follow the directions on the dough recipe. If you bake it at 350, you may just have to cook it a little longer.
love this-we used to get frozen pizza crust that came with pre portioned cheese and sauce in a package of three delivered right to our door. this is perfect-just like that. we would buy a case of them at a time
