  2. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut butter into flour mixture until crumbly.
  3. Add milk, egg, and syrup and mix until combined.
  4. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll until an inch thick.
  5. Cut into wedges and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 425F for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned.
