Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Blend flour #1, sea salt, butter #1 and yogurt in a food processor until well blended.
  2. Divide into even pieces until you have enough pieces for each muffin cup. Pat pieces out flat with hand, or rolling pin.
  3. Place dough circle into well buttered muffin tin.
  4. In large saucepan, mix apples, brown sugar #1 and cinnamon.
  5. Cook over medium heat until apples are soft and a syrup has formed (about 10 minutes).
  6. Fill each crust with apple filling.
  7. In a bowl, stir together flour #2, oats, brown sugar #2, and butter #2 until crumbly.
  8. Sprinkle topping evenly over tarts.
  9. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
  10. Flash freeze.
  11. Once frozen, place into freezer bags, label and return to freezer.
