Why would I want to freeze this?
- Season the ground beef with the steak seasoning and mix to combine.
- Form the ground beef into the indicated number of patties and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Flash freeze.
- Divide the mushrooms and onion among half of the indicated number of gallon freezer bags.
- Mix together the mayonnaise and garlic.
- Divide the garlic mayonnaise among the indicated number of pint freezer bags.
- Divide the patties among the remaining number of gallon freezer bags, placing parchment paper between each patty.
- Seal, label and freeze together.
Make From Frozen Serving Day Directions
These directions help you cook or reheat this meal AFTER it's been frozen for when you are ready to eat it.
- Thaw: In fridge
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet.
- Add the mushrooms and onion to the skillet and cook until the onions begin to caramelize.
- Add the Worcestershire sauce to the skillet and remove from heat.
- Place the patties on the grill and cook 5-8 minutes per side until almost cooked through.
- Place the Swiss cheese on the patties and cook until the cheese is melted.
- Toast the hamburger buns.
- Spread the garlic mayonnaise on the buns.
- Place the patties on the buns and cover with the mushrooms and onion. Top with arugula.
