- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Mix in sugar, salt, cinnamon, and apples.
- Allow to boil for 1 minute and remove from heat.
- Add in oatmeal and walnuts. Stir well.
- Using a tablespoon, drop onto a wax paper lined baking sheet.
- Allow to harden and cool for 30 minutes.
