Join the discussionI’m wondering why these are pork meatballs if the recipe calls for turkey.
Beth – I am not sur e where you are seeing pork in the meatballs?
Check right under the photo… I happened to see it too ๐
Thank you for catching that error! Wow – right under my nose and I couldn’t see it!
Hi, the picture for this recipe shows them topped with a sauce. What do you suggest? Thanks!
Kathie – These were simply topped with the Sriracha sauce used in the recipe.
Hi, im confused
Its says 4 servings -does that mean 4 meatballs per serving or it makes 4 servings (then how many meatballs are in a serving)?
Thanks
Yes four meatballs per serving.
I had these for dinner tonight, they were delicious.. definitely a keeper!
Yipee for a dinner win! They are a favorite at our house as well!
These are thawed and waiting, any serving recommendations? I see them pictured with rice. Just wondering if anyone has a favorite way to eat them, thanks!
Rachel – we have eaten them over rice or quinoa. But we really like it over sauteed cabbage.
I made these last night and they were absolutely yummy. I was thinking of trying make these as dumpling innards… Would you recommend changing anything to adapt it to that purpose?
Lindy – these would be great in a wonton wrapper as a dumpling. I would suggesting precooking the meat first, and mixing the rest of ingredients in. Then filling your wonton. Let us know how it works out!
I’m curious how many meatballs this recipe makes? Thanks!
Daphne – this recipe makes 32 meatballs – 8 servings – 4 meatballs per serving.
Hi ๐
I was wondering: why if i cook the meatball BEFORE freezing them, and then just warm them up when i want to eat them?
Do you think it would work?
Thank you ^-^
Kisses from Italy!
Yes, Laura! You could definitely do that. Just bake at 400F for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through, cool completely, then freeze them. After thawing, you could do a quick reheat in the microwave, or you could warm them up on the stove top or oven.
Any recommendations on how to keep the meatballs a consistent
size?
You could use a melon baller or a large spoon to make your meatballs all the same size, or perhaps your smallest measuring cup.
what can you use in place of siracha sauce? My family doesn’t like spicy foods
I would suggest another hot sauce/crushed red pepper, etc. but if you don’t like spicy food that still might not work. You could try a teriyaki sauce but it might change the flavor profile.
My family doesnโt either, any recipe that calls for hot sauce I just leave it out altogether and never have any issues. You could maybe try some chicken broth if you want the liquid.
