Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and rub the grate with oil.
  2. Season the wings with salt and pepper. Cook wings on the grill covered for 16-18 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking time. Meat should no longer be pink and skin should be starting to bubble and char. Test meat with an instant read thermometer if you are unsure.
  3. Meanwhile, place mango, orange juice, sriracha, lime zest, garlic powder, and ginger into a food processor or blender and mix until smooth.
  4. Place mango/sriracha sauce in a sauce pan over medium heat and cook until warmed through. Remove from heat to a large bowl.
  5. When wings are finished cooking. Toss them in the warm sauce and let them sit for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return wings to the grill for 3-5 minutes to give them a nice glaze.

Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Season the wings with salt and pepper. Divide among indicated number of gallon freezer bags.
  2. Place mango, orange juice, sriracha, lime zest, garlic powder, and ginger into a food processor or blender and mix until smooth. Divide among quart freezer bags. Place the bag inside the bag with chicken. Label and lay bag flat to freeze.
