  1. Hi! I am writing to tell you that your recipes have been a life savor! I have 2 kids, I’m a nursing student, and my husband is deployed so I’m really busy. We are all actually vegans and I’ve been able to “veganise” all of these recipes. This one was one of our favorites.

  2. I was not sure if the pineapple was to be drained and I think next time I will not drain it as it would provide more sauce for over the rice. Also, for my next batch in the freezer towards the end of cooking I am going to add more pineapple to brighten it up and provide a bit more pineapple taste. Might even add a little more “just cooked” broccoli to give the dish more color and freshness. Otherwise the taste was very good.

  3. I’m making freezer meals for my daughter and her hubby when they come home with my new grandson. Your recipe indicates 6 servings…does that mean 3 servings in each freezer bag or 6 in each bag. This may seem like a silly question but I haven’t made it yet to visualize how much goes in each bag. This sounds yummy so I will make it for myself and hubby also!!

    1. Hi Sue! This is actually a bit confusing to make the freezer meals off of this page – but it is for 6 servings once. The 2 bags are because we portion 4 servings in each bag. If you are able to put all the ingredients into 1 bag then that would be the recommendation. As a member, if you put this recipe onto a meal plan then you are able to specify how many servings you would like and it will calculate your ingredients and be a little clearer. (If you chose 6 servings on that – then it would be 6 servings each creating two dinners instead of just the one dinner with 6 servings).
