Why would I want to freeze this?
- In the indicated number of greased baking pans, place one layer of potatoes and sprinkle the layer of potatoes with 1 teaspoon of onion soup mix.
- Continue to layer the potatoes and soup mix.
- Sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese and dot with the diced butter.
- Pour the milk evenly over the potatoes.
- Bake at 350F for 85 minutes, or until a knife passes through the potatoes with no resistance.
- Allow to cool.
- Cover tightly with foil. Label and freeze.
