This has by far become my favorite tofu recipe. The tofu soaks up the sweet honey mustard marinade and provides a perfect contrast to the salty pretzel crust.

  • ½ cups Honey
  • ½ cups Mustard, Yellow
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil #1
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 cups Pretzels
  • 2 individual Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil #2

Stove Cook

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Combine honey, mustard, soy sauce, olive oil #1, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
  2. Place tofu in a shallow dish and pour marinade over tofu, so that it is completely covered.
  3. Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Meanwhile, crush pretzels and place in another shallow dish.
  5. Place eggs in a third shallow dish.
  6. When tofu is done marinating, dip each piece in egg.
  7. Followed by dipping in the crushed pretzels.
  8. Heat olive oil #2 in a medium saute pan.
  9. Cook each tofu piece until it begins to brown.
  10. Drizzle with remaining marinade, if desired.
