  1. Why would you parboil the potatoes the night before, as the prep instructions say to do? You may need to let them cool, but they just get parboiled then could cool then drain. Then just put them into the designated bags with clean water.
Seemed a little over kill especially when my fridge is full the night before and I have no room to store the potatoes, obviously I’m not leaving them out sitting in water over night.

    1. Hi Melissa, For the sake of time efficiency, we have you doing any cook prep the night before, so on cooking day you are just assembling your freezer meals. If you would prefer to not parboil the potatoes the night before, you are most welcome to do so. There have been times where I prep and cook on the same day if I’m doing a smaller menu. This is just our suggestion, but you are free to adjust to whatever will work best for you! I hope this helps.

  2. Hi, I don’t see that I have to parboil the potatoes anywhere. Has that instruction been removed/modified? Thank you.

    1. Hi, Patricia! This step will show up in your prep day instructions if you add it to a menu. 🙂

      1. so we really can’t reliably make these recipes without purchasing a membership? In order to get the prep day instructions? Because this is an important step that is missing

        1. Hi Tara,
These recipes aren’t “public” so only members see this recipe since it is a blog partner recipe- this is an agreement with our blog partners. That is why it directs you back to their recipe for “make it now” directions. Our resources (prep day instructions, grocery list, recipe cards, labels) are all what make OAMM the freezer cooking authority that we are – we have lowered our prices to make this attainable for more people and that is what is included in the cost of membership.
