Why would I want to freeze this?
- Mix together salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Divide meat among indicated number of bags.
- Set aside indicated amount and sprinkle remaining amount on top of meat.
- Combine Generic Dr. 23 Flavor Cola #1, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard and reserved spice mixture among indicated number of quart bags.
- Seal, label and freeze all bags.
Make From Frozen Serving Day Directions
These directions help you cook or reheat this meal AFTER it's been frozen for when you are ready to eat it.
- Thaw: In fridge
- Add meat to the slow cooker. Pour Generic Dr. 23 Flavor Cola #2 on top.
- Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.
- Heat the sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Shred the meat. Add desired amount of sauce to meat, reserving the rest for dipping or another use.
- Serve on buns.
