Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. In a large bowl or gallon freezer bag combine pork, gochujang, garlic, onion, ginger, grated pear, grated apple, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and pepper. Marinate 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Heat a heavy bottomed pan (such as cast iron) over medium high heat, or heat a grill to high heat.
  3. Take meat out of marinade and discard marinade.
  4. Stir fry strips of meat in the pan until no longer pink (they should be sliced thin enough to cook in just a few minutes).
  5. Sprinkle pork with green onions. Serve with lettuce and rice and serve family style. Scoop pork and rice wrapped in lettuce.

Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a large bowl combine pork, gochujang, garlic, onion, ginger, grated pear, grated apple, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, and pepper. Divide among half the indicated gallon freezer bags. Divide cooked rice among half the indicated gallon freezer bags. Label and lay flat to freeze.
