These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- Place strawberries in a baking dish and use a potato masher or fork to crush.
- Pour crushed strawberries in a large bowl with sugar, and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Stir the pectin into the water in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and boil for 1 minute.
- Stir the boiling water into the strawberries.
- Stir constantly for three minutes or until sugar is dissolved and no longer grainy.
- Pour into freezer safe jars or other freezer safe storage containers.
- Place tops on the containers, and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
