Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Combine the ground flaxseeds and warm water. Set aside.
  2. Combine ground meat, coconut flour, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, milk, onion powder, sea salt, pepper. Mix well.
  3. Stir in the flaxseed mixture.
  4. Roll into 1.5 inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Freeze for 5-10 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet.
  7. Brown meatballs in skillet.
  8. Remove meatballs to baking sheet.
  9. Add onions to the skillet. Saute until translucent.
  10. In another bowl, combine coconut palm sugar, vinegar, ketchup, garlic salt, and coconut aminos. Pour on top of onions.
  11. Add meatballs to the sauce and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes.
  12. Combine tapioca flour and cold water in a small bowl.
  13. Stir into the sauce until it has thickened slightly.
  14. Let cool.
  15. Divide among indicated number of bags. Seal, label and freeze.
