Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. Place turkey, onion, garlic, chicken broth and vegetables in a pot.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk and oil. Stir until it forms a sticky dough.
  5. Drop dumplings by the spoonful on top of the soup. (Dough will be sticky.)
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on.
  7. Remove lid. Simmer until desired consistency.
  8. Let cool.
  9. Divide among indicated number of freezer bags. Label and freeze.
