Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

Visit Maria Makes for same day cooking instructions.

Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a large soup pot, add olive oil and heat over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and cook until onions start to brown.
  3. Add turkey broth, water, chicken bouillon and rosemary.
  4. Allow broth to come to a boil.
  5. In a bowl, mix together flour and salt.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and slowly add flour mixture while stirring.
  7. Continue to stir until small dumplings form. These are the rivels, they will be all different sizes.
  8. Drop the rivels into the boiling broth by handfuls while stirring.
  9. Bring soup back to a boil and add in frozen vegetables, turkey and black pepper.
  10. Cook for 10 minutes.
  11. Allow to cool.
  12. Divide soup into indicated number of freezer bags. Label and freeze.
