  • 2/3 cups dice Onion, White
  • 2 tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 1/2 pounds Ground Turkey
  • 1/2 pounds Turkey Sausage Links, Hot Italian
  • 1/2 cups chop Parsley, Fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano, Dried
  • 1 teaspoon Basil, Dried
  • 29 ounces Stewed Tomatoes, Italian Style
  • 6 cups Chicken Broth/Stock
  • 1 1/2 cups slice Zucchini
  • 10 ounces Mixed Vegetables, Frozen
  • 16 ounces drain and rinse Kidney (Dark Red) Beans, Canned
  • 1 1/2 cups cook Elbows
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a large pan over medium heat, saute onion in oil until tender, about 4 minutes.
  2. Add ground turkey, sausage links, parsley, oregano, and basil. Cook until meat is no longer pink
  3. Add tomatoes, broth, zucchini and mixed vegetables. Cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  4. Add beans, macaroni, vinegar, salt and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. Portion servings into freezer bags. Label and freeze.
