Griddle

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. In a bowl whisk together ground flaxseed, almond milk, vanilla, salt and cinnamon.
  2. Allow mixture to sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat. Grease with coconut oil, keeping in mind the entire amount may not be used.
  4. Working in small batches of 2-3 slices at a time, dip bread in flax mixture, being sure to turn the bread over once.
  5. Fry on griddle until golden brown. Flip and repeat on opposite side.
  6. Continue to grease the griddle with oil, dip and cook the remaining bread slices.
  7. Serve warm.

    1. Yes, you can use egg substitutes in the microwave. This recipe only uses the microwave when reheating the french toast so it is already cooked into the recipe. If you tried to use them in a different recipe the answer may be different.
