Vegan French Toast

<p>Slices of classic french bread are soaked in a bath of cinnamon vanilla almond milk and fried to a golden brown for this simple Vegan French Toast. Top them with an amber maple syrup or fresh berry preserves for a luscious little breakfast treat.</p>

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon

  1. In a bowl whisk together ground flaxseed, almond milk, vanilla, salt and cinnamon.
  2. Allow mixture to sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat griddle or skillet over medium heat. Grease with coconut oil, keeping in mind the entire amount may not be used.
  4. Working in small batches of 2-3 slices at a time, dip bread in flax mixture, being sure to turn the bread over once.
  5. Fry on griddle until golden brown. Flip and repeat on opposite side.
  6. Continue to grease the griddle with oil, dip and cook the remaining bread slices.
  7. Serve warm.
