Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder and Italian seasonings.
  2. In a graduated measuring cup stir together warm water, honey, yeast, and olive oil.
  3. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until a stiff dough forms. Turn out on a generously floured surface and knead about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. (You can also use a stand mixer or food processor with a dough attachment for this step.)
  4. Divide dough in half and allow to rest for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Roll out dough on a sheet of parchment paper or a pizza peel sprinkled with cornmeal. Then use as directed in recipes or add your favorite toppings.
  6. Bake at 500 degrees on a preheated pizza stone for 7-10 minutes. Crust should be lightly browned and cheese will be bubbly.

Freeze For Later Cooking Directions

These directions help you cook or prepare this meal PRIOR to being frozen for serving later (see Serving Day Directions when you are ready to prepare it to eat).

Why would I want to freeze this?

  4. Divide dough evenly into number of pizzas you will be making (one batch makes 2 medium pizzas). Wrap each dough ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use in recipes.

  2. Unwrap and let rest on counter 30 minutes or until room temperature.
