Bacon Cream Cheese Wontons

<p>Where I used to work we had a special appetizer menu for the holidays. It was a HUGE success. unfortunately I can't recall hardly any of the recipes except these. And I've been making them obsessively ever since.</p>

  • 8 ounces soften Cream Cheese
  • 3/4 cups cook and dice Bacon
  • 24 individual Wonton Wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Combine cream cheese and bacon in a small bowl.
  2. Arrange wonton wrappers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Place 1 teaspoon of cream cheese filling in the middle of each square.
  4. Combine cornstarch and water in a separate small bowl.
  5. Using a pastry brush, spread the cornstarch mixture on two edges of the wonton square.
  6. Fold wonton over to form a triangle, and push the middle to keep bubbling to a minimum. Repeat with remaining wontons until all fillling is gone.
  7. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on edges and slightly crispy.

  8. Divide among indicated number of gallon freezer storage bags, label and freeze.
