- Bring a large skillet to medium heat.
- Cook ground beef and onion for three minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add broth, tomato sauce and water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, stir in vegetables, barley and seasonings.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 45 minutes, until barley is tender.

- Bring a large skillet to medium heat.
- Cook ground beef and onion for 3 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add broth, tomato sauce and water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, stir in vegetables, barley and seasonings.
- Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 45 minutes, until barley is tender.
- Allow to cool.
- Place in gallon freezer bag. Label and freeze.
