Join the discussionThe flavor was really good, but it was INCREDIBLY salty (and we backed off the salt by 1/2 TBSP). If we did it again, we would only use about 1/3 of the salt. Should it be teaspoons?
I confirmed with our MB team that it is indeed TBS. We’re glad to hear you were able to find a way to make it work for your family!
I was just looking at the recipe y’all posted for burgers that have the seasoning recipe in it and it does say teaspoons for the salt.
I think there used to be a recipe that specifically called for this seasoning but I can’t find it. I don’t remember the ratio of seasoning mix to pounds of ground beef. Can you please help? My family loves this seasoning mix!
This burger recipe has the seasoning in it: https://onceamonthmeals.com/recipes/get-ready-for-summer-seasoned-burgers/
That recipe calls for the individual spices and not a measured amount of the seasoning blend. I’m still not sure the ratio to use with the seasoning mix I already have on hand. Please help!
The recipe makes 12 teaspoons of mix to go with the 2 lbs of hamburger — so I would say 6 teaspoons …. or 2 tablespoons of spice per 1 lb of meat. Does that help you figure out what to use?
Thank you, Kendra! Yes. That is what I needed.
