Make It Now Cooking Directions

Microwave

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Place cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract into a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat with mixer, starting slowly and increasing speed as powdered sugar gets incorporated. Beat until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Pour semi-sweet chocolate chips into microwave safe bowl. Melt in microwave and stir until smooth.
  4. Stir ¼ of the cream cheese mixture into melted chocolate, stirring until well blended.
  5. Pour into greased 8x8 glass baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Pour white chocolate chips #1 into microwave safe bowl. Melt in microwave and stir until smooth.
  7. Stir in 1/3 of remaining cream cheese mixture and several drops of yellow food coloring into melted white chocolate until desired yellow color is achieved.
  8. Reheat in microwave for 15-20 seconds to make more spreadable, then spread this layer over chocolate layer in baking dish.
  9. Pour butterscotch chips and white chocolate chips #2 into microwave safe bowl. Melt in microwave and stir until smooth.
  10. Stir ½ of remaining cream cheese mixture and a few drops each of yellow food coloring #2 and orange food coloring into melted butterscotch mixture until desired orange color is achieved.
  11. Reheat in microwave for 15-20 seconds to make more spreadable, then spread this layer over yellow layer in baking dish.
  12. Pour white chocolate chips #3 into microwave safe bowl. Melt in microwave and stir until smooth.
  13. Stir in remaining cream cheese mixture. Reheat in microwave for 15-20 seconds to make more spreadable, then spread this layer over orange layer in baking dish.
  14. Press pieces of candy corn into top of fudge, arranged so that one piece will be centered on top of each square of fudge once it is cut.
  15. Cover and chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  16. Cut chilled fudge into 1-1½ inch squares, cutting between each piece of candy corn to keep it centered on the fudge square.
  17. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

  1. The picture doesn’t look anything like the description in the directions, and this doesn’t even sound like fudge, just colored chocolate and frosting.
