Chicken Macaroni Bake

<p>I got this recipe from a friend in high school. It was lying around in one of my cookbooks so I fixed it one night for my husband. It has quickly become one of his favorites. It is a creamy chicken pasta with a cheese and breadcrumb topping.</p>

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 cups dice Onion
  • 10 1/2 ounces Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 1/2 cups cook and dice Chicken, Boneless Breasts
  • 1/4 cups Milk
  • 3 ounces Cheddar cheese, shredded, #1
  • 4 1/2 cups cook Elbows
  • 1/8 cups Bread Crumbs
  • 1 ounce Cheddar cheese, shredded, #2

  1. In large skillet, melt butter.
  2. Add onion and cook until brown.
  3. Stir in soup, chicken, milk and cheddar cheese #1.
  4. Heat until cheese melts.
  5. Blend sauce with cooked noodles; pour into greased baking dish.
  6. Mix cheddar cheese #2 and bread crumbs and sprinkle on top.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot.
