Join the discussionAny ideas to make this and use something other than apple pie filling?
Andy – Any flavor of pie filling will work with this recipe!
Is there a link to the apple pie filling?
Sarah – I just purchased canned apple pie filling – ensuring that it was gluten free.
Just made these tonight. Yummy!
I’ve never used coconut oil before. Could I substitute olive oil? Would the amount be the same?
Yes Debi – you can sub olive oil for the coconut oil!.
is there a gluten free substitute I could use for the gluten free oats? Not all Celiacs can tolerate the gluten-free oats.
You could try quinoa instead of the oats.
Would I use the quinoa flakes or the seeds (kernels)?
Not quinoa flakes – the whole quinoa grain.
Wondering if you have the nutritional information per item? Thanks.
Laura – as of right now nutritional information is only available on our diet menus, however you can easily calculate it by using this http://caloriecount.about.com/…
I tried this recipe with blueberry pie filling. My son liked it better than with apple pie filling. I love it with either one. Great recipe!
Blueberry would be delicious! Thanks for sharing!
