Join the discussionWith the amount of tomatoes and vinegar, do you think this recipe could be safely canned?
My instincts would say yes. And after a peek at my Ball Blue Book It would be just fine in a boiling water bath. Just remember to keep the sauce warm when you place it in your warm jars. Follow the boiling time for your altitude. Let me know how it goes!
Hi Kelly,
This looks like a great Sauce. The BBQ Season is upon us and your sauce will sure be a great one to try. Thank you for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and hope to see you next week!
Thanks for posting! I have always wondered if I could make my own BBQ sauce. Today in the grocery store, I put back the store bought stuff on the shelf and decided I could do it at home! It’s cooking now and my “taste tests” are pretty good!
Good for you Katherine! Definitely let me know what the final results are! I made a batch yesterday for our bbq tonight!
It’s quite delish! I added some spices to give it an extra kick! My husband gave final approval! Guess I won’t be buying it anymore 🙂
