Join the discussionMy chops were quite thick so I quartered them like breasts. Unfortunately this made them tough & dry. Are thick chops ok? Also, do I pressure cook on low, normal, or high pressure?
Hi Jennifer. Thin chops are perfectly fine to use. You can also just decrease the cook time by 2-5 minutes and check it and see if you need more time. We like to err on the side of less time to avoid drying things out, as you can always add more time. I hope this helps!
I kjnow this is a late reply, but the most important thing for TENDER meat in an instant pot is to let the pot cool down naturally. There’s something about releasing steam for a quick cool down that makes the muscle fibers in the meet “seize up” and get remarkably tough!
I so have to make this, over rice and peas, jamacian style.
