Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. **Due to the nature of pressure cooking there is always room for inconsistency. The times given here are based on 4 servings fresh. If you are using more servings you may need to increase your cooking time.**

  3. Lock lid into place and seal steam nozzle.
  4. Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  5. Let pressure release naturally for 5 minutes then release any remaining pressure.

  1. My chops were quite thick so I quartered them like breasts. Unfortunately this made them tough & dry. Are thick chops ok? Also, do I pressure cook on low, normal, or high pressure?

    1. Hi Jennifer. Thin chops are perfectly fine to use. You can also just decrease the cook time by 2-5 minutes and check it and see if you need more time. We like to err on the side of less time to avoid drying things out, as you can always add more time. I hope this helps!

  2. I kjnow this is a late reply, but the most important thing for TENDER meat in an instant pot is to let the pot cool down naturally. There’s something about releasing steam for a quick cool down that makes the muscle fibers in the meet “seize up” and get remarkably tough!
