These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- Let thawed bread rise for 2-3 hours, until it has doubled in size.
- In a bowl, combine sausage, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and pizza sauce.
- Roll bread loaf into a 14x12" rectangles.
- Line salami down the center.
- Spread sausage and cheese mixture over the top of the salami. Dot with butter.
- Fold edges of dough to the center of the filling, pinching to seal. Return loaf to baking sheet, placing it seam side down and tucking ends under.
- Brush the top with egg.
- Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
