Italian Bread Rolls

Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1 individual White Bread Dough, Frozen
  • 1 cups cook Ground Italian Sausage
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
  • ½ cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • ½ teaspoons Oregano, Dried
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 6 individual Hard Salami, Sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 individual beat Egg

Directions

Let thawed bread rise for 2-3 hours, until it has doubled in size. In a bowl, combine sausage, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, and pizza sauce. Roll bread loaf into a 14x12" rectangles. Line salami down the center. Spread sausage and cheese mixture over the top of the salami. Dot with butter. Fold edges of dough to the center of the filling, pinching to seal. Return loaf to baking sheet, placing it seam side down and tucking ends under. Brush the top with egg. Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Freezing Directions

Bake at 350F for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely. Cut into slices according to indicated number of servings, then wrap in plastic wrap. Place in gallon freezer bags, label and freeze.

Serving Day Directions

Reheat in microwave until warm, about 1-2 minutes.
