Ingredients

  • 2 individual Egg
  • 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Season Salt
  • 1 cup crush Crackers, Saltine (Square)
  • 6 fluid ounces Pizza Sauce #1
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1/4 cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded #1
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano, Dried
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Ground Italian Sausage
  • 2 fluid ounces Pizza Sauce #2
  • 1/4 cups Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded #2

  1. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, pepper, season salt, saltine crackers, pizza sauce #1, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese #1 and oregano.
  2. Add beef and sausage and mix well.
  3. Place in large loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
  5. Spread remaining pizza sauce #2 over loaf and bake 10 minutes more.
  6. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese #2 and return to oven for 5 minutes more.

Why would I want to freeze this?

  1. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, pepper, season salt, saltine crackers, pizza sauce #1, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese #1 and oregano.
  2. Add beef and sausage and mix well.
  3. Divide meat mixture among indicated number of foil loaf pans.
  4. Divide pizza sauce #2 among half of indicated number of quart freezer bags. Divide mozzarella cheese #2 among other half of bags. Place a cheese bag and a sauce bag in each loaf pan, on top of meat.
  5. Wrap in a double layer of aluminum foil. Label and freeze.

  1. Thaw: In fridge
  2. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
  3. Spread remaining pizza sauce #2 over loaf and bake 10 minutes more.
