These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and marshmallows. Stir occasionally so the mixture doesn’t burn.
  2. When the marshmallows are melted, add the pumpkin pie spice and stir to combine.
  3. Remove from heat and add crisp rice cereal one cup at a time, stirring so that all cereal is coated.
  4. Transfer immediately to a greased 9X13 baking pan, pressing down bars.
  5. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

  1. really tasty! I was afraid the pumpkin pie spice would be too strong, but it wasn’t – just fall-like and delicious.

  2. Have you tried the pumpkin marshmallows?? I saw those at the store tonight, and this recipe made me think of them! I’ll be it would be delicious!

    1. Hillary – We have purchased them but they got eaten and never made it to a recipe! But I am sure that you could substitute the pumpkin ones for the regular marshmallows and decreased the amount of pumpkin pie spice. Let us know how it turns out!
