Slow Cook
These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.
- Place chicken, peach jam, and barbecue sauce in slow cooker.
- Cook on low for 5.5 hours.
- Remove chicken from slow cooker and shred. Place chicken back in the sauce and stir well.
- Place chicken back in the sauce and cook 30 more minutes.
- Top slider buns with chicken and serve.

Join the discussionHi Katie, I love the idea of the peach sliders ( peaches are my fav), but my ? For you is….can I substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts? I digest them better, since having a gastric bypass.

Has anyone tried these as lettuce wraps instead of on buns? My husband is allergic to most grains.

so can these meals be frozen raw?
Alexis – yes – you could certainly freeze the ingredients in a gallon bag. Then on cooking day, thaw and place into slow cooker.
So I pulled a few of the bags out of the freezer for dinner last night, heated it up in the oven and went to finish a project I had been working on. When I got back the entire meal had been devoured by my boys and there was nothing left, LOL!! They have never done that and are super picky eaters. I mean seriously! One of them I had to put in sensory therapy so he would learn to eat…so no joke here about the picky eater part. I was told they are amazing. I will get to find out for myself tonight, lol!! This definitely makes our Family Favorite list!!
