Make It Now Cooking Directions

These directions are for cooking this recipe to serve immediately and NOT to freeze for later.

  1. Place strawberries in a baking dish and use a potato masher or fork to crush.
  2. Pour crushed strawberries in a large bowl with sugar, and let stand for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir the pectin into the water in a small saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and boil for 1 minute.
  5. Stir the boiling water into the strawberries.
  6. Stir constantly for three minutes or until sugar is dissolved and no longer grainy.
  7. Pour into freezer safe jars or other freezer safe storage containers.
  8. Place tops on the containers, and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours.
