As I was meandering through the Walmart aisles the other week, I was drawn to the festive display of all the liquors, with their holiday packaging and extra little gifts. I am not a big liquor drinker, more of a wine sipper here. Nonetheless, I was drawn to the huge display. The package that really caught my eye was the bright blue Grey Goose Vodka gift set with a nifty little cocktail shaker in the package. Upon further inspection, we realized the steel shaker had a little cutout of the Grey Goose himself in the pouring part! How cute!!! (That’s not what my hubby said, but he went along with my excitement anyway!) And the bottle, it was so pretty! The silver and blue tones made me think of a winter wonderland. I sadly replaced the box on the shelf and went about my shopping. As luck would have it, however, a few short days later I ran across a recipe for Amaretto-Cranberry Kisses drink on Pinterest! Oh the squeals of delight! I now must have that Grey Goose Vodka set to prepare the PERFECT holiday drink! Amaze holiday guests even more and serve Cranberry Salsa Dip for an appetizer!

Ingredients:
2 cups Diet Cranberry Juice
1 1/2 cups of your favorite Vodka
1 cup Amaretto
3 tablespoons Orange Juice, (I was in a pinch and used the juice from a can of mandarin oranges I had in the cupboard, worked fine!)
Ice Cubes
Fresh Cranberries, for garnish if desired
Directions:
In a large pitcher combine the vodka, amaretto, cranberry juice and orange juice. Store in refrigerator until serving. Pour into shaker with ice, shake a few times and serve! I used a martini glass, but any drink glass will work. If you desire a bubblier drink, add a splash of Sprite or Ginger Ale to your drink right before serving.
Freezing Directions:
Not recommended.

Join the discussionI’ve been lurking on this site for some time. Have a whole file full of wonderful recp. downloaded from here and love the concept of OAM cooking. This is the first alchol. related recp. I’ve seen that I gave a second look and I just wanted to say yeah! I’m not a big drinker (one glass of this will prob. put me under the table) but I do love the taste of Amaretto so this is on my shopping list.
I think I had something similar to this a few years ago…except it was frozen. The alcohol prevents it from freezing all the way through so it was served as an adult slushie. Yumm!
