Now that we’ve settled from the excitement of menu day, we can catch another wave of excitement with a new month in the Get Real Series! I’d like to take a moment to thank our guest blogger for March, Kristen of Dine and Dish for providing us with a delicious start to making our own egg noodles, which were our base for raviolis. We helped you de-code the boxes at the store. Then ended with mouth watering gnocchi.
Did you have fun with the pasta month? Now the fun begins. That groundhog had sunglasses on in February because instead of six more weeks of winter, here in Colorado we’ve jumped right into summer! Perfect weather for this month’s challenge: vegetables and fruit. We will cover the following topics:
- The dirty dozen and clean fifteen
- Shopping for produce in the store and local farmer’s markets
- Joining a CSA or coop
- And growing your own produce!
